Indonesian Aromatherapy Massage

This treatment is adapted from a massage known locally in the spice island of Indonesia as Pijat. It is not to be confused with the traditional Javanese massage (Urut), which involves deep thumb pushing and spinal twists, believed to be strongly therapeutic, even medicinal. Pijat is more relaxing rather than stimulating, and in this case is almost like Swedish massage, where strokes are applied gently and then beautifully choreographed with thumb walking techniques to balance the body’s channel of energy.

Indonesian Aromatherapy Massage incorporates pre-blended Indonesian aromatic oils of your choice: Java Spice (ginger, clove and other warming oils), Bali Flower (frangipani, jasmine, cananga) or Island Zest (ginger, lime, peppermint).
